What is a Ceilidh?

A Ceilidh (pronounced “kay-lee”) is a traditional Scottish social gathering with live music and dancing. It’s a fantastic way to spend quality time with family and friends, all while moving to the lively tunes of folk music. No dance experience is required, and all ages are welcome!

What to Expect:

Live Music: Our Ceilidh will feature an incredible local live band – Fluicic Folk https://www.fluidicfolk.co.uk/ –  playing traditional tunes, ensuring you’re never too far from the dance floor.

Dance Instructions: Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with Ceilidh dances! We’ll have an expert Ceilidh ‘Caller’ to guide you through the steps, so you can join in the fun with confidence.

Refreshments: Delicious refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase. It’s the perfect opportunity to take a break and recharge during the evening.

Dress Code: While there’s no strict dress code, we encourage you to embrace your inner Celt and wear something comfortable for dancing.

This Family Ceilidh promises to be a memorable evening of laughter, camaraderie, and, of course, dancing. Bring your loved ones, your neighbors, and anyone else who loves to have a good time. Let’s come together as a community and make this event a huge success!
